ABOUT JOHANNES LINSTEAD
Born and raised in Canada to European parents with a deep passion for Latin culture, Linstead travelled extensively with the family on numerous trips around the world, and at an early age began a path to musicianship that incorporated the sights, sounds and cultures that he had seen. Linstead’s early experiences have deeply informed his music and his worldview – one world, one people – and he strives to share the borderless freedom and spirit of the traveller in his performances.
Linstead currently resides in Oakville, Ontario. Aside from his guitar virtuosity, he is also a certified yoga instructor and accomplished pianist, and is known to grab the odd maraca and add in rhythm fills.
